Football

Football, also known as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the arms and hands, which are only allowed for the goalkeeper within their penalty area. The match is played on a rectangular field known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. Football is governed by a standardized set of rules known as the Laws of the Game and is originally governed by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) for international competition. Football is one of the most popular sports globally, with a massive following and is played at both amateur and professional levels in numerous countries. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness. Football matches typically consist of two halves, each lasting 45 minutes, with a halftime break in between. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match is declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the outcome may be decided by extra time or penalty shootouts, depending on the competition rules.
